Project Overview
This Hollister home gained a full great room addition — a single open space that carries the dining, living, and work areas of the house under one vaulted ceiling. The room was built to take advantage of the site, with a bank of black-framed windows and a glass exterior door lining the wall that faces out across the San Benito hills.
The finish work is what sets the room apart. A full-height accent wall runs the entire height of the vault, and the cabinetry was built in rather than furnished in: a coffee bar with stone counter, floating white oak shelves and tile backsplash, flanked by two full-height pantry towers, plus a matching built-in desk nook along the opposite wall. Wide-plank oak flooring runs throughout.
